Jumper currently supports Avid Media Composer v2023.8 and later, but has been optimised to work great on the latest Avid Media Composer v2025.12. If you don’t already have ffmpeg installed on your system, Jumper currently also requires Rosetta on Apple Silicon Macs, as the version of ffmpeg Jumper downloads is not currently a Universal Binary. Jumper will install ffmpeg automatically if you don’t already have it installed.

 The Installation guide includes a section on what to do if Jumper doesn’t show in the Tools or Extensions menu.

You can watch a 16min video demonstrating Jumper over at FCP Cafe. The below video was created on 8th May 2025, using Jumper v2025.05.07 (Build 1847) by Chris Hocking from LateNite. This was an early beta version of Jumper for Avid Media Composer, so things may have changed and evolved since this video was posted.
