What you can do in Avid Media Composer
- Search visual content, dialogue, and people
- Search transcoded MXF media and linked or AMA clips
- Open matching footage in the Source Viewer and mark the relevant range
- Search analyzed footage outside the current Avid project
- Work with subclips and grouped/multicam clips (Media Composer 2025.12.2 and 2026.8)
Compatibility
Jumper currently supports Avid Media Composer v2023.8 and later, but has been optimised to work great on the latest Avid Media Composer v2025.12. If you don’t already have
ffmpeg installed on your system, Jumper currently also requires Rosetta on Apple Silicon Macs, as the version of ffmpeg Jumper downloads is not currently a Universal Binary. Jumper will install ffmpeg automatically if you don’t already have it installed.
Subclips and grouped/multicam clips require Media Composer 2025.12.2 or 2026.8, and Jumper build 3361 (Apple silicon) / 3362 (Intel) on macOS, or build 1628 on Windows, or later.
