Overview

When Jumper crashes or hits an unexpected error, it sends a crash report so we can find and fix bugs. We use Sentry for this. Crash reports don’t include your footage or project files. They contain technical details about the error, such as stack traces, app version, and operating system. For more on what leaves your computer, see Local and Offline.

Sentry compliance

Sentry holds the following compliance certifications:
  • SOC 2 Type I
  • SOC 2 Type II
  • HIPAA Attestation
  • ISO 27001

Disable crash logging

You can turn off crash reporting entirely. Jumper will keep running locally. It just won’t send error logs to Sentry. Set the environment variable DISABLE_SENTRY_LOGGING to 1.
1

Quit Jumper

Fully quit the app before changing the environment variable.
2

Open Terminal

Open the Terminal app.
3

Set the environment variable

Run:
launchctl setenv DISABLE_SENTRY_LOGGING 1
4

Reopen Jumper

Launch Jumper again. Crash logging is now disabled.
