Tag collections let you save the clips you care about and come back to them later. Save a segment or a whole clip into a collection, organize it with comments and color markers, and filter your search to only the clips in a collection. The Tags tab is where you browse and manage your collections.

Tag a clip

Open the Add to tag control on a search result or clip. For each collection you get two buttons:
  • This segment — saves the trimmed in/out range of the result.
  • Whole clip — saves the entire media file.
Click again to remove the tag. A green checkmark means the segment or clip is already in that collection. To create a collection on the spot, type a name in the New tag name field, then choose Personal or Shared. The current segment is added to the new collection. You can also bulk-tag every result of a search at once from the search results header.

Organize a collection

In the Tags tab, select a collection to work with its items. Each collection supports:
  • Comments — add notes to the whole collection or to an individual item.
  • Color markers — assign one of eight colors to an item, then filter the collection by color.
  • Sorting — order items by Added oldest, Added newest, Group by clip, Clip name, File extension, or Segment duration.

Filter search to a collection

Tag filters narrow a search to the clips in one or more collections. In the visual search box, type # to open the tag filter (the same way @ opens people search), or click the tag button. Select one or more collections.
  • Selecting multiple collections matches clips in any of them (OR).
  • Tag filters apply to visual search and combine with people search.
Example: Save your interview selects into a collection, then run a visual search for wide shot filtered to that collection.

Share a collection with your team

When you create a collection, choose Shared instead of Personal. Shared collections are stored in the analysis folder, so anyone pointing at the same folder can use and update them. Personal collections stay local to your machine.
Shared collections require a shared analysis folder, which needs a Jumper Pro license. For setup, see the Shared Analysis guide.
You can move a collection between Personal and Shared later.
